1）He became a monk at the age of 23, became a pastor at the age of 31, and became a hermit at the age of 46.

St. Charbel was born in 1828 in Yousef Antoun Makhlouf in the mountains of northern Lebanon. He grew up into a devout Christian family and was one of five children.He wants to be a monk from an early age. He helped his family raise small herds and often brought the flock to the cave to pray to the Virgin Mary.This grotto became “his first hermitage and altar.”When he became a monk of the Lebanese Maronite cleric at the age of 23, his name was “Chaber”. He dedicated his life to Christ “with all his heart.”

2) No one saw his face while he was still alive

According to the priest’s “Three Lights from the East.” Mansour Awad: “People have never seen his face when he was alive. He always bows in church, at work or on foot, always looking up to the ground.”He only looks at heaven with his eyes wide open. When he is in the church, he always pilgrims. But when he dies and lies face to face, his eyes are closed, still not as seen in his life. Anyone.”St. Charbel is extremely committed to the Eucharist. He recited this prayer on December 16, 1898:
